J. Scott McMahon
Scott's
core practice is in transportation, trucking, cargo and logistics. In
addition to defending catastrophic bodily injury and cargo loss cases (Carmack,
COGSA, etc.), he litigates commercial transportation cases. His
litigation experience compliments the transactional side of his practice
by incorporating that experience and knowledge into the preparation of
transportation agreements between motor carriers, brokers and/or
shippers. In addition, he assists his clients in all aspects of
regulatory compliance, including state and federal statutory and
regulatory schemes, and the preparation of policy manuals to assist his
clients in ensuring they have the necessary tools to meet today's
rigorous federal regulatory compliance issues, such as compliance with
CSA 2010. He is a frequent speaker on a wide range of topics
pertinent to the surface transportation of goods.
