David N. Gambach is a partner of Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, L.L.P. For more than fifteen years, Mr. Gambach has been a successful litigator in diverse matters in the areas of admiralty and maritime law, marine insurance, personal injury defense, transportation, construction litigation, commercial litigation, products liability, and professional malpractice. In particular, he is highly regarded for his unique knowledge of the intricacies of marine insurance issues. His non-legal background has included in-depth experience in the construction industry which brings real-world knowledge to his legal work in construction litigation. He represents the world’s largest cruise lines, shipyards and marinas, marine salvors, yacht handlers and brokers, private vessel owners, major marine domestic and international underwriters, construction companies, contractors, architects and engineers, hotels and resorts, and products manufacturers and distributors. Mr. Gambach is frequently asked to present seminars to clients, including in-house risk management departments, on various topics. Mr. Gambach earned his B.A. from the University of Miami, his M.B.A. from Nova University, and his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He is Past-President of the Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club which has more than 200 active members from all corners of the South Florida marine industry. He is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the Broward County Bar Association, the Florida Yacht Brokers Association, and the Marine Industries Association.
