Carol Vorbach Traynor is an associate in the firm’s Tampa office. Ms. Traynor earned her B.A., with honors, in Political Science from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She was a Dean's Scholar in law school, a recipient of the Pro Bono Honors Award, and received the Book Award for highest grade in two law school classes. She was also a Pro Bono Department Board Member and Research Assistant. Ms. Traynor graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2007. Ms. Traynor is admitted to both the Florida Bar and the New York Bar. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association (Torts, Insurance, and Compensation Law Section), American Bar Association (Litigation and Dispute Resolution Sections) and Florida Bar Association (Trial Lawyers Section). She is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. Ms. Traynor has been very active in community service, including pro bono work as a maritime law researcher, Community Event Committee Chairperson for the Center for Prevention of Child Abuse Exchange Club, Chairperson for the American Heart Association Fundraising Event in St. Lucie County, Florida, Volunteer for the Fund the Public Schools Benefit in New York, New York, and a Parent Advisory Board Member for the Pine School in Stuart, Florida. Ms. Traynor represents hotels, physicians and medical providers, major cruise lines, product manufacturers and distributors, international businesses, transportation companies, underwriters, including major marine domestic and international underwriters in state and federal court. She handles matters stemming from wrongful death, personal injury claims, medical malpractice suits, product liability actions, mass tort and class actions, sexual assault claims, medical malpractice suits, product liability actions, excursion liabilities, negligent security claims, premises liability claims, and claims asserted under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
